Wills Transfer, Brockville was proud to sponsor a Gold Egg for the second annual YMCA Fire Truck Pull held on October 16, 2021.
The Fire Truck Pull was in fact coordinated by Burnbrae Farms who created the sponsorship Egg Levels for the Y.
“Burnbrae Farms is very involved in efforts to strengthen the communities in which we operate. ‘Giving back to the community’ is something that Burnbrae Farms and the Hudson family have done for decades and continuing to do so is an important part of our Social Responsibility platform.“Ian McFall, Executive V.P. Burnbrae Farms Ltd
Fire Truck Pull Sponsor Levels
- Gold Egg: $600
- Silver Egg: $400
- Bronze Egg; $300
Additionally, Burnbrae entered several teams to the pull a truck event. Local fire stations were competing against each other and challenged other regional fire departments to the pull. Any business was welcome to register a team of eight to get in on the fun.
And fun they had. Smiling faces pulling the three-ton fire truck and bragging rights for the best times. Not to mention a great way to work out your COVID, Pandemic, Lock-Down, Facemask and Vaccine Passport frustrations!
Fundraising is key to the YMCA who are an essential service in the Brockville Community. With membership down by 50% this year the Y’s goal was to raise $50,000 or twice as much as last year. Traditionally the event raises about $25,000 to $30,000. Because of the pandemic, there are a lot more people in need of the Y’s services, so the campaign goal was upped.
As a result, the sponsored eggs raised $63,767.15 which goes to help individuals and families in need access the Y’s many programs.
