People
We practice the Five S’s Lean methodology that results in distribution centres that are clean, uncluttered, safe, and well organized helping us to reduce waste and optimize logistics. The Five S mindset helps Wills sustain a quality work environment, both physically and mentally while continually improving workplace efficiency and safety.
Our Standard Operating Procedure for Sanitation keeps us focused on the right cleaning practices and applies to all employees of Wills Transfer and our contracted cleaners.
Maintenance Staff continuously ensure our facilities remain in good repair which helps us to sustain a healthy work environment.
Service Providers
Our scheduled Distribution Pest Control is completed by certified Pest Prevention Providers that keep us ‘audit ready’ for our clients by providing programs & equipment that ensure our campuses remain pest free. Our fleet of trucks are washed on a regular basis, so we look good behind the wheel and our drivers & DC staff are dressed for success from our uniform supply stock.
Equipment
We strive to ensure a complete floor scrub of our facilities once a week minimum and we use the best equipment to support this like the Factory Cat, XR 40” cylindrical scrubber/sweeper (featured below). This unit can clean a 170,000 plus warehouse on one tank of water, saving us time and energy costs.
