The Top Fleet Employer Program
The Top Fleet Employer program is a national program that recognizes the importance of HR policies and practices in the trucking and logistics industry. Each year trucking and logistics companies undergo a rigorous application process where only the best are recognized as ‘Top Fleet Employers’.
Top Fleet Employers follow ‘Best Practice’ strategies that enhance the employee experience and are better able to retain and attract staff. The accreditation is not a competition – it’s a recognition for those who meet HR standards of excellence.
Launched in 2014 and open to fleets of every type and size, the Top Fleet Employer Program continues to grow each year. The program is open to fleets of all sizes, and in every region of the country. Small, medium, or large. For-hire, Private Fleets and Fleet Services.
Fleet employers apply and participate in a rigorous three-part review of their human resources policies and programs. The review assesses the scope of an employer’s formal HR policies and programs in nine key categories: recruitment & retention, employee engagement, workplace culture, compensation & total rewards, workplace wellness & mental health, workplace diversity & inclusion, training & skills development, corporate citizenship & environment, and HR innovation.
In addition to a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), a panel of trucking and logistics industry experts have validated the Top Fleet Employer Program’s rating criteria. The rating criteria reflects Canadian human resources issues, trends and working environments, and Trucking HR Canada’s standards of excellence.
Wills Transfer applies to Top Fleet Employer 2023 Program
2023, was Wills Transfer’s inaugural application toward obtaining Top Fleet Employer status and might I say, ‘we are in pretty good company’. In fact, there are a lot of Top Fleet Employers who are partner carriers with Wills Transfer.
10th Annual Top Fleet Employer Program
Ninety-three of the best workplaces in Canada’s trucking and logistics industry have earned honours through the 10th annual Top Fleet Employer program. All applicants were rated on topics including recruitment and retention practices, workplace culture, compensation, training and skills development, and innovative HR practices.
