Facing the same shortages as most transportation companies, Wills Transfer Perth turned to our neighbor Top Shelf Distillers for help providing our drivers with hand sanitizer amid the COVID 19 outbreak. After a ‘Social Distancing’ visit to the facility at 14 Warren Cres, Perth ON. and being gifted with 4 sample bottles we knew this was going to be a bennificial partnership!
The Alcohol Hand Wash is made from denatured grain, hydrogen peroxide and coconut oil and is 75% alc./vol.
Perth-based Top Shelf Distillers joined the fight against COVID-19 by switching over one of its production lines to produce and bottle hand sanitizer, which is in extremely high demand and short supply.
Naturally, they had plenty of alcohol on hand, but generous donations from members of their community, including the local pharmacy and Perth Soap Works, filled in the blanks as far as other ingredients.
Their initial batch of 600 50-mL bottles went so fast that they created an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to raise funds to scale up production and get greater quantities of sanitizer into (or onto) the hands of people who need it. They felt it was extremely important not to fall behind, given the overwhelming demand from the community: Over 2,000 organizations have contacted Top Shelf to try to obtain some of their product and they are aiming to scale their weekly production batch to above 30,000 bottles per week.
Sales of the Alcohol Hand Wash will be reinvested in the hope to double-up volume to meet demand.
