Truck #266 our TJ 5000 Single-Axle Yard Jockey

Wills Transfer Perth has enhanced their shunting operation with the addition of a new Capacity Shunt Truck, #266.

The TJ 5000 Capacity Shunt Truck is a single-axle yard jockey truck with a GCWR (the maximum allowable weight of both the loaded tow vehicle and the loaded trailer that the tow vehicle can handle safely) of up to 81,000-lbs. Recommended for warehouse and distribution work or as an intermodal workhorse.

Truck #266 also features ‘Dura-Ride’, a patented air spring suspension system that provides both the cargo and operator with a smoother ride. This smoother ride greatly reduces truck maintenance and operator healthcare issues such as back problems that can be associated with large volumes of daily shunts or movements completed at a clients’ yard.

To demonstrate the need for the Dura-Ride suspension, the below data taken from the onboard Isaac ELD (System Electronic Logging Device) for Truck #266 between 6:30 am to 3:45 pm tracked the number of movements or jockeyed trailers in the client’s yard for just one day!
